- Eloquent Infomedia Player - OS/2 Notes

- To Install the Player
- ---------------------
- 1) Open an OS/2 session.

- 2) Insert the CD-ROM.

- 3) Run INSTALL.CMD in the OS2 directory on the CD-ROM.

- 4) Follow the instructions in the install program. If you don't have
- Video for Windows installed, follow the prompts to install it.

- 5) When the install program finishes, there will be an Eloquent folder on
- your desktop.

- To Run the Player
- -----------------
- 1) Open the Eloquent folder on your desktop.

- 2) Double-click on the Eloquent Player icon.

- Technical Notes (for advanced users only)
- -----------------------------------------
- 1) The Eloquent Infomedia Player runs inside Win-OS/2, which is OS/2's
- built-in emulation of Windows 3.x. Although Win-OS/2 is mostly compatible
- with native Windows, there are some minor differences.

- 2) For the player to run properly, the Win-OS/2 property IDLE_SENSITIVITY
- needs to be set to 100. If it is not set correctly, video playback
- will be slow and jerky.

- 3) The Eloquent Player icon created by the install program takes care of
- setting IDLE_SENSITIVITY. If you always run the player from that icon,
- you shouldn't have any problems.
